Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply whether a contract has been made verbally or in writing.

1. Drivers Hours - The driver is responsible for his own driving and rest period hours, and must adhere to the rules governed, (Rules on Drivers Hours and Tachographs. Regulation (EC) 561/2006). They must not drive continuously for more than four and a half hours, or exceed permitted driving hours in any daily duty period. A forty-five minutes break must be taken after the four and a half hours period.

In the event of a Shuttle service being provided, the company will ensure the required rest break periods for the driver will not impact on the Shuttle service. 

2. Seating Capacity The hirer must not load the vehicle beyond its capacity. At the time of booking, the seating capacity will be specified. In the event of a Shuttle service being provided, once the vehicle has reached the maximum seating capacity, it will set off and then return for the remaining passengers left behind.

3. Routes - The shortest and most direct route in both directions will be taken unless otherwise specified and the hirer will be liable for any extra time or mileage covered, in addition to the party's requirements, already quoted for. This will not apply if a Shuttle service is being provided.

3a Waiting time - The driver is instructed to wait 15 minutes past departure time to allow all passengers to board. Any waiting time after that will be charged at £20 for every additional 15 minutes or part of. This will not apply to a Shuttle service.

4. Airport or Ferry/Cruise Terminal transfers - Collecting passengers from airports, ferry/cruise terminals, the coach will wait for one hour after the prearranged arrival time free of charge. After that additional waiting time will be charged at the discretion of the company.

5. Payment Terms - Payment for Contract Hire is to be paid within thirty days of the date of the invoice, to be paid into the company account by BACS.

Payment for any other Private or Corporate hire is to be paid within 24 hours of the completion of the hire, and receipt of the invoice, unless the amount charged is more than £1,000. If more, the amount is to be paid 24 hours before the hire is completed, and to be paid into the company bank account by BACS, (details of our bank account will be in the invoice), by the hirer or group leader. 

6. Cancellations -  Cancellation must be made in writing. Cancellation 14 days prior to date of travel will incur no fee. Cancellation 13 days or less prior to date of travel will result in a 50% charge of total hire fee. Payment must be made on date of cancellation. Cancellation within 48 hours or less prior to travel will result in a 100% charge of total booking price. Payment must be made on date of travel or cancellation.

7. Luggage - There is room for reasonable amounts of luggage, which is carried at the discretion of the driver. It is the passenger’s responsibility to insure their luggage and belongings against loss or damage. 8. Breakdowns and Delays - The company gives advice on journey time in good faith. However, in the event of a breakdown, traffic congestion or other events beyond the reasonable control of the company, the company will not be liable for loss or inconvenience caused to the hirer.

9. Conduct of passengers - The driver is responsible for the safety of his/her passengers, and the vehicle at all times, and as such, may request the removal of any passenger from the vehicle, who is in part endangering himself, the driver or other passengers. If any damage is caused to a vehicle by any of the passengers, the responsibility will lie with the hirer and any repair costs involved will be reclaimed from the hirer. 

In the event of any passenger becoming unwell during the journey, including motion sickness, the hirer will cover the cost of any valeting that will be required before the vehicle can be returned to service. The cost would be £70.00.

10. Food or drink - May not be consumed on the vehicle at any time, this includes soft drinks.

 We do not allow alcohol to be consumed on our vehicles. 

11. Notices - No bills, posters or notices are to be displayed on the outside or inside of any vehicle without the consent of the company.

12. Children - Children are carried in accordance with the provisions of the relevant regulations. 

In the event of a child seat being required, the hirer will need to supply their own, and if required, the company will look after it until the hirers return.

13. Lost Property - All articles are deposited at Delta Line Luxury Minibuses, to which enquiries should be addressed. A handling charge will be made for each item.
